Brewerkz in Riverside Point, Clarke Quay

I really like it when our friend A is in town. This is because it gives the NKids a perfect reason to go out on a weeknight to try a new place for dinner. It was also perfect timing that it was I's birthday not so long ago so a post celebration was in order. We had it at one of her favorite restaurants here in the Lion City -- Brewerkz, a microbrewery and a restaurant bar all in one!

A quick check on my Entertainer App and I realized that I got 1-for-1 vouchers for all main dishes too! I'm truly loving my Entertainer App as it allows me to try the different restaurants in Singapore for half the price. Since we all wanted meat, we decided to get two orders of the 3 Big Pigs (S$84) platter. It's a HUGE sharing platter that consists of Pork Knuckles, BBQ Kielbasa Sausages and BBQ Pork Ribs. It came with a scoop of creamy mashed potato and an array for sauces that best complements the three meats.

Among the three, I enjoyed the ribs the most. It's because it was made so tender and the basting sauce was delicious too! I just love fork tender ribs very much. The Pork Knuckles were okay but I'd still go for the Filipino Crispy Pata any day. Somehow it was a bit too fatty and dry for me. The sausage weren't bad either but it was overshadowed by those amazing pork ribs.

Of course, we have to balance things off so aside from the platters, we had the Chicken Cobb Salad (S$22). I loved this! Well anything with blue cheese, egg, avocados and bacon will surely taste great and this was definitely one of those winning salad combinations! I have to admit it's not one of the healthiest salad mixes in town but hey, we were there to celebrate I's birthday so we have the license to indulge that night.

We also tried the Salmon Caesar Salad (S$20) which was okay but sadly paled in comparison to the Cobb Salad. The grilled salmon was good though and I was surprised at the generous portion of their salads. It was good enough to be enjoyed by 6.

We didn't order a lot but if only you could see our table that evening. It was filled to the brim that the boys had to think of a good way to arrange it to make it fit our rectangular table. It was hilarious! I'm glad that I was finally able to try Brewerkz after more than a month of hearing I suggest and rave about this. Indeed, my friend got good taste in food!

Brewerkz is located at 30 Merchant Road, 01-05/06 Riverside Point, Singapore. They also have branches at Dempsey Hill and at the Indoor Stadium. Click on this link to make an online reservation.
