Honey Creme : Premium Soft Ice Cream

It's no secret how much I love love love ice cream! In fact, it's the best thing to end a meal with and I try to find all sorts of ways and reasons just to have ice cream everyday. So, when my best friend L came to visit, I thought that it just made perfect sense to take her to enjoy some ice cream which, at that time, wasn't available in Manila yet.

Of course, L, being my very good and supportive friend was so game to check out Honey Creme at 313 Somerset which has been having long queues for months. Luckily, we got there at the right non-peak time that there wasn't any queue at all. Honey Creme opened in Singapore last year and it has paved the way for the craze for silky soft Korean ice cream topped with all sorts of toppings. From the classic Dark Chocolate drizzle or a shot of espresso for Affogato to the much sought-after honeycomb and head-turning, attention-catching cotton candy!

L played it safe and tried the Honey Comb Ice Cream (S$5.90) which she said was very good. It had a nice vanilla flavor which went so well with the sweet honeycomb. I have to say that they were very generous with the honeycomb size too.

As for me, I tried the new Cereal Milk (S$5.90) which was AMAZING!!! If you love cereals and milk for breakfast then this is pretty much like it. The ice cream had a nice corn flakes flavor and you get a nice scoop of cereal crumbs in every spoonful. It was so good that I made sure to scoop out every single crumb and ate my ice cream till the last drop. So so so so yummy!

I think I found a new favorite when it comes to Korean ice cream and I'll make sure to drop by for a cup every time I'm in the area. 

As for my friends in Manila, I found out that Honey Creme recently opened its first branch in the Philippines at SM Aura. Take my word for it, must.try.the.Cereal.Ice.Cream.!!!

As a parent, I have one thing that I dread the most and that's when any of my kids fall sick. From the moment we detect the faintest sniffle followed by sneezes and runny nose, we know one thing is for sure -- we will be having a couple of sleepless nights. Bag of Beans (Charito) in Tagaytay

I can't believe that we have been frequenting Tagaytay for more than a decade now and not once have I written about Bag of Beans ! I tried searching all over this blog and I found..nothing. To think that not a single trip to Tagaytay, back then, would ever be complete without stopping by Bag of Beans for lunch or merienda. I must have been to engrossed with their coffee and bread that I wasn't able to take photos of the place and their food thus no blog entry. They, after all, have one of the best brewed coffee in Tagaytay and the yummiest bread to go with it too. Bag of Beans has been an institution in Tagaytay. Misto at Seda Vertis North

Happy Friday!  I'm not going to lie, Friday is one of my favorite days because it means, we're just a day away from the weekend! Who doesn't love the weekend, right? This is the day when I give my twins my uninterrupted attention. We would start the day with any breakfast of their choice (normally waffles for J, pancakes or peanut butter sandwich for L) followed by an hour of doing their homework and in the afternoon, we head out for their swim class! Sunday is more laid back as we would stay home and just laze around the house otherwise, we would go and visit my in laws and spend the day there.  Speaking of the weekend, I suddenly remembered one of the best weekends that we've had this year so far. This was when we had our staycation at Seda Vertis North  and the twins truly enjoyed every minute of it.
