Breakfast Buffet at Nobu Restaurant Manila
Rise & Shine!
It's the start of a new week and while it may be hard to pull yourself up from bed today, I hope that these visions of delicious, mouthwatering food will be a good reason to greet this day with a big smile.
One of the highlights of our last two visits to Manila were spent really early as we drove all the way to Roxas Boulevard to meet up with our fellow foodies for breakfast at Nobu Restaurant Manila. Since we were all so excited for this much-awaited breakfast meet-up. Of course, we didn't waste any time and decided to order practically everything on the menu.
Let me share with you some of my top picks:
Black Cod Tinapa
Melt-in-your-mouth smoked black cod served on top of a bed of fluffy and fragrant garlic rice
and a serving of runny scrambled egg. I'm glad though that Nobu's serving was just right for one to enjoy yet it's not too much allowing you to still have room to order more!
Nobu Style Cheeksilog
For the meat-lovers, you just have to try this! Tender miso-braised Wagyu beef cheeks on garlic rice and fried egg. We loved it the first time as the meat was so fork tender. However, it was a bit dry on our second visit. Either the supply wasn't that great or it just wasn't one of the Chef's good day.
Champorado Nobu Style
Ohhh this was just one of the best champorados I've ever had in my life! Dark, rich chocolate porridge served with bacon flakes and bonito flakes. I'm normally not a fan of champorado but this one was amazingly good!
Bagel & Lox
This was actually a big surprise. I wasn't expecting much from bagel and smoked salmon but one bite and on top of crispy rice patty. It was so yummy! I initially shared one piece with Paul and after that, I went for seconds and shamelessly had one full piece all to myself.
Breakfast Taco
We had this during our first visit and sadly it disappeared from the menu on our next return. Anyway, it's like a Mexican meets Filipino breakfast fusion. Crunchy mini taco shells filled with longganisa bits, veggies and cheese! So yummy!
Aside from these Breakfast Minis, you can also help yourselves to the buffet spread of fruits, breads and pastries, hot dishes (must try the okonomiyaki!) and the french toast that they would make for you on the spot.
I love these bite-sized French Toast served with butter/cream and your choice of fruits and spreads.
For dessert, I got a glass of Chia Pudding which was so yummy and healthy too!
Paul, on the other hand, tried a wide-array of baked goodies and fruits which he said were really good.
There are more options available at Nobu Restaurant Manila's Breakfast Buffet line-up and I tell you, most of it are so good that it made waking up earlier than usual so worth it.
