Summer Party Vibe with Greenwich Hawaiian Overload Pizza

Recently, I was invited to a birthday party. Not mine but that of two ladies who are very known on TV. In fact, Yaya D subtly gasped when she found out where I was heading to that one afternoon in SM Megamall.

It was to celebrate the birthdays of Yassi Pressman and Bela Padilla, two very prominent personalities on local TV today. Yaya D adores Bela Padilla who stars in her favorite TV series Ang Probinsyano. Trust me, ask her one thing and she can go on and on and on about that show. Haha!

This party was hosted by Greenwich Pizza and just like any birthday party, we were in for a yummy treat!

While waiting for the celebrants, we feasted on a buffet of party dishes such as tea sandwiches, nachos with dips...

and the famous Greenwich Beef Lasagna 
Super yummy and really meat lasagna that's oozing with lots of cheese. I love this!

After a round of refreshments, our birthday celebrants have arrived and the fun began with a trivia game, a dance instructional segment by Yassi and Bela even serenaded the guests.

I won't lie though, what I was most looking for was the arrival of this lady --

Seeing this delicious looking pizza really made me so excited to give it a try. It sure didn't disappoint as I love the sweet pineapple chunks, the meaty sweet ham and bacon and how the crust was pillowy soft. I haven't had Greenwich pizza in years a decade and I have been going back to our neighborhood Greenwich store twice already since that fateful day. Their pizza has greatly improved based on how I remembered it to be. I can't believe though it took me this long to realize that.

Not a fan of pineapples on pizza? This might make you change your mind. Take my word for it, go ahead and take a bite!

p.s. as for Yaya D, I also treated her to one medium sized box of Hawaiian Overload Pizza just so she won't feel so bummed out for not seeing her idol in person. Hehehe..

As a parent, I have one thing that I dread the most and that's when any of my kids fall sick. From the moment we detect the faintest sniffle followed by sneezes and runny nose, we know one thing is for sure -- we will be having a couple of sleepless nights. Bag of Beans (Charito) in Tagaytay

I can't believe that we have been frequenting Tagaytay for more than a decade now and not once have I written about Bag of Beans ! I tried searching all over this blog and I found..nothing. To think that not a single trip to Tagaytay, back then, would ever be complete without stopping by Bag of Beans for lunch or merienda. I must have been to engrossed with their coffee and bread that I wasn't able to take photos of the place and their food thus no blog entry. They, after all, have one of the best brewed coffee in Tagaytay and the yummiest bread to go with it too. Bag of Beans has been an institution in Tagaytay. Just like us, other tourists and visitors would make sure to drop by in order to grab a bite or to take home some of their homemade goodies every time they find themselves in Tagaytay. Misto at Seda Vertis North

Happy Friday!  I'm not going to lie, Friday is one of my favorite days because it means, we're just a day away from the weekend! Who doesn't love the weekend, right? This is the day when I give my twins my uninterrupted attention. We would start the day with any breakfast of their choice (normally waffles for J, pancakes or peanut butter sandwich for L) followed by an hour of doing their homework and in the afternoon, we head out for their swim class! Sunday is more laid back as we would stay home and just laze around the house otherwise, we would go and visit my in laws and spend the day there.  Speaking of the weekend, I suddenly remembered one of the best weekends that we've had this year so far. This was when we had our staycation at Seda Vertis North  and the twins truly enjoyed every minute of it.
