Staycation at The Bellevue Hotel in Alabang

Image
I ♥ the weekend! Oh how I value those two precious days where I get to stay in bed longer, go out for brunch or coffee with friends, watch a movie with Paul, run errands (pay our bills! ugh) and on certain weekends, go on a road trip. This is what makes the Philippines amazing. We have three big islands surrounded by various bodies of water (hello Pacific Ocean, South China Sea and a lot more) yet it is actually possible to go from north to south and back with just a car. Thanks to the RoRo , there has been a number of "cross-country" races that has been done to prove that this is indeed possible. Tiring and nerve-wracking but possible. One weekend, Paul and I joined our favorite eating and travel buddies -- the Co Family for a weekend staycation at The Bellevue Hotel in Alabang. Living at the center of Metro Manila, the farthest that most of us would frequent in the South would be Makati. Thus, upon accepting an invite to visit The Bellevue Hote l, it surely feels

So what are your plans this Valentine's Day?

Another year has passed and here we are again celebrating Valentine's Day . For the past seven years, I would excitedly wait for this day wondering what Paul has in store for me. Every year, he would pick me up and surprise (yes, even after 7 years I'd still get surprised) with a bouquet of roses . Paul would bring me to a really nice restaurant, somewhere new to the both of us and we'd enjoy a romantic candlelit dinner. It's a simple gesture but I know it's one that was well-thought of by my ever sweetest husband. This year, we'll be celebrating our first Valentine's Day as a married couple out of town with half of the club as we watch more than a dozen colorful Hot Air Balloons fly up, up and away across the Pampanga sky. A week after that, we will continue our Happy Hearts Day celebration halfway across the globe as we visit friends and relatives and say hello to my dear Mickey and Minnie , this time the non-Cantonese speaking type. For those wh

A New Look for Real Living

Image
**I would like to interrupt my regular blogging for some shameless plugging** For years, Real Living has always looked like this: However, we always strive to make things better and so this year, we are proud to present our new cover look which I think is really pretty Ü To celebrate this wonderful change, Real Living is having a month-long exhibit in three Ayala Malls namely: Trinoma, Glorietta 4 and Alabang Town Center. The exhibit features various rooms designed by our very talented stylists: Coni Tejada, Gwyn Guanzon and Issa Villar. This will run from January 16 - February 15 (except for Trinoma which will end by January 31). How to get there: 1) Trinoma - located at the Ground Floor near Gift Gate and VNC 2) Glorietta 4 - located at the Ground Floor near Florshiem, Marks and Spencer and Rustan's 3) Alabang Town Center - located at the Ground Floor (Home zone) near the Activity Center Hope to see you there!!
